Going to Saigon – Ho Chi Minh City is more than 300 years old, and there are high-rise buildings near to each other, entertainment areas, and busy commercial malls, but there are also antique villas in plenty. For hundreds of years, traditional marketplaces have existed. Saigon is big, and there are many tourist “specialties,” such as taking a boat ride down the Saigon River, seeing the West Pham Ngu Lao section, shopping at Ben Thanh market, or returning to Can Gio Beach… Motorbikes, vehicles, bicycles, buses, and cyclos are primarily used by visitors visiting Saigon. Because the city’s temperature is agreeable, the sun does not become too hot and rain does not persist long, any season may be a tourist season. Friendly and generous city dwellers look forward to greeting guests from all around the world.
With 11 museums, Ho Chi Minh City has the most museums in the country when compared to other provinces and cities. The museum displays are fairly extensive, covering not just local history and culture, but also the South, the country, and the Southeast Asia area, giving a wealth of intriguing information.
The French have produced a wide range of attractive and unique works. Few cities in Southeast Asia can boast as many architectural forms, schools, and Western art styles as Saigon – Ho Chi Minh City. For example, the City People’s Committee headquarters in the style of the Third Republic of France, the State Bank influenced by the Art Nouveau movement, the Children’s House in Neoclassical style, the Indochinese Dragon House, the Post Office with Zhejiang school, Notre Dame church in Roman art, Huyen Si church in Neo-Gothic…
The city has a favorable aspect due to the multitude of current, thriving architecture in hundreds of hues, including a number of stunning structures with great aesthetic value.
Yet the city’s most distinctive tourist attraction remains the Cu Chi Tunnels, a unique work in world military history, a symbol of the city’s army and people’s iron determination and intellect in the resistance struggle against America to rescue the country. Can Gio mangrove forest, famed for its fights to destroy enemy ships on the Saigon River estuary, is also a superb eco-tourism destination with infinite green mangrove forests.
NINH THUAN
Referring to Ninh Thuan, the first thing to mention is sea tourism and modern experiential sports. With a coastline of up to 105km, Ninh Thuan has pristine bays and beauty not inferior to some tourist destinations in Greece or Maldives… The images of Ninh Thuan tourism and tourist attractions have been known to tourists in turn. It was voted in the top “World Tourist Map”; Amanoi Resort in Vinh Hy Bay (Ninh Hai) was voted by Forbes Life Magazine (USA) as one of the “Top 10 most attractive destinations in the world”. The long, flat beach, year-round sunshine and strong winds are favorable conditions for Ninh Thuan to develop its marine sports tourism. From November to March every year, international kitesurfing competitions take place in My Hoa or Ninh Chu beach. After experiencing sea tourism, visitors can also experience forest tourism right in this land. Ninh Thuan has two national parks, including Nui Chua and Phuoc Binh – the destination of the ecotourism model. The road to Phuoc Binh is winding, undulating with fresh and quiet scenery. In addition to ecotourism, Nui Chua is a favorite place for trekking enthusiasts to explore. The adjacent natural terrain of the mountains – sea – desert of the unique desert area in Southeast Asia is considered to be the potential to exploit the type of experience tourism and various entertainment services such as racing tournaments, playing golf on the sand; camel riding experience, desert night experience,… There is also a rich cuisine with delicious seafood and lamb that is famous throughout the country. As one of 18 upwelling points in the world, the cold currents of Ninh Thuan waters allow fishermen to exploit the best quality seafood in the country. Fruits such as grapes, apples, mangoes, asparagus… produced in the direction of high-tech agriculture are also famous local specialties.
NHA TRANG
Nha Trang Bay has been recognized as an official member of the Club of the most beautiful bays in the world which was held in Tadoussac (Quesbec, Canada) in June 2003. Nha Trang Bay with an area of over 500km2, has 19 large and small islands scattered far and near creating a landscape that is both spectacular and poetic. The largest island is Hon Tre, which is 36km2 wide and shields the east, so Nha Trang Bay is airtight and smooth waves.
On the island, there are beautiful beaches such as Bai Tru and Bai Tre. Hon Tre Island is more than 3km from the mainland, with a length of more than 10km, the width of the widest place is about 6km, looks like a giant crocodile slithering in the middle of a vast, deep blue lake. On Hon Tre Island, Hon Ngoc Viet Eco-tourism Area (Vinpearl Resort and Spa) was born with a 5-star level. The system of small islands in Nha Trang Bay is very diverse, with many large and small islands such as Hon Mun, Hon Tre, Hon Tam, Hon Mieu, Hon Ho, Hon Dun, Hon Mot. These are islands that have not only beautiful views on the shore, but also beautiful scenes under the water. Moreover, these islands are also the habitat and nesting of swiftlets. The bird’s nest is a famous specialty of Nha Trang in particular and Khanh Hoa in general, which is very nutritious for health and has very high economic value. Hon Mun Island is the site of the first marine conservation area in Vietnam.
